When you’re buying multiple T-shirts for a team, club or other organisation, quality and style play a big part, but as your order gets larger, the price really can become a determining factor. At Screen Textiles, we don’t believe you should have to compromise on any of those factors, especially if you shop smart – and there’s no smarter way to get T-shirts than buying Valueweight.
Cotton is known as a soft, breathable and completely natural fabric that has been used to make clothes for centuries. When farmed responsibly, it’s an environmentally friendly fabric, with dozens of potential uses, from jeans to T-shirts.
Polyester, on the other hand, is man-made and was invented in the 20th century. It looks and feels like cotton, and is very soft against the skin, as well as being great for dyeing any colour that is wanted. Clothing made from purely polyester has loads of advantages, such as elasticity, durability, comfort and, of course, cost. But there are a few drawbacks, one of which is that it isn’t very breathable, and a 100% T-shirt can quickly become clammy and start sticking to the skin. Also, it doesn’t decompose, so it is less environmentally friendly (although it’s quite easy to recycle, meaning it can last for several generations of clothing).
However, when cotton and polyester are blended together, you get all the advantages of both fabrics – soft, beautifully coloured, durable and elastic clothing that is also breathable, doesn’t stick to the skin and can be manufactured at a noticeably reduced price compared to pure cotton.
And this is exactly what Fruit of the Loom has done with its Valueweight T range. They’ve created a collection of T-shirt that are perfect for buying in bulk because they’re designed and manufactured with all the care and attention to style and quality that you’d expect from this most trusted fashion brand.
They do Valueweight in three main categories: Value T shirt, Lady Fit Value T-Shirt and Lady Fit Value V Neck T-Shirt. Their names are pretty self-explanatory, but the basic Value T is a straight-sided top that’s essentially unisex; Lady Fit has a narrower waist that flares out slightly at the hips to produce a more flattering and comfortable silhouette, and Lady Fit V Neck is the same as Lady Fit but (have you guessed it yet?) with a V neck (10 points if you got that).
Another Fruit of the Loom hallmark is the bewildering array of colours that they’re available in. The basic T comes in 25 colours, while the Lady Fit round neck has a whopping 27 colours to choose from. Lady Fit V is a little more niche, with a mere 10 colours, but that still covers all the most popular shades that people want. This selection of colours is great if you’re running a club or other team-based organisation, be it a restaurant or a builder. You can get superb value T-shirts that are comfortable, smart and durable, in colours that match your branding and your team’s shade.
And don’t forget if you’re kitting out multiple people with T-shirts, at Screen Textiles, we also have a complete printing and embroidery service. If you order your printing or embroidery with your bulk order of T-shirts, it will save you lots of time as we can take them straight from the warehouse to our printers and have the tees decorated to your specifications. It’s a great way to give your people a real team look, with logos, slogans and other branding on the front, back, sides or sleeves – wherever you want. It can also bring individuality, too, as you can give people individual name tags in high-quality embroidery, or spell out what individuals’ roles are, for example, manager, waiter or electrician, so customers know who they're dealing with.
