The fabric becomes 50% cotton and 50% polyester, which slashes the price of raw materials but has only a minimal effect on the wearability, colour, comfort and warmth.</span></p> <p>Cotton is known as a soft, breathable and completely natural fabric that has been used to make clothes for centuries. When farmed responsibly, it&rsquo;s an environmentally friendly fabric, with dozens of potential uses, from jeans to T-shirts.&nbsp;</p> <p>Polyester, on the other hand, is man-made and was invented in the 20th century. It looks and feels like cotton, is very soft against the skin, and is great for dyeing any desired colour.
