Colour heat transfers are ideal for small runs and multi-colour prints including photographs. There are no set up charges which make them ideal for a short run with multi-colour images. The design is firstly printed onto a transfer paper and then heat pressed onto the fabric. There is no artwork design involved, what you send is what is printed. So when you need a small quantity run at the cheapest price a full colour heat transfer is the way to go.

Heat transfer is the best approach if you’re looking for a small, limited run, ideal for small companies and start-up businesses looking to get corporate branding on a range of clothing. Heat transfer printing is also ideal for custom, novelty t-shirt printing, and even for testing how your designs will look on a garment before committing to a larger run once your designs, colours and styles have been finalised. Screen printing is a much more labour intensive and time-consuming process and is therefore suited to longer runs at a higher quality. This is not to say that heat transfer vinyl printing is of a poor quality, just that due to the screen-printing process of colour splitting prior to printing, there is a greater degree of control around how colours can be added to the garment. This is more notable on darker colours which can be more vibrant from a screen-printing run, whereas heat transfer vinyl will display exactly the design you've provided in terms of colour quality.

Is heat transfer printing cheap? This all depends on the amount of t-shirts or garments which you require printing services for. If you are actively looking for cheap t-shirt printing whilst still retaining design quality, then our team at Screen Textiles would recommend heat transfer printing as the best way to proceed. Got any questions? Using a special range of vinyl in conjunction with our cutter plotter system, it is also possible to plot and cut transfers that can be applied to garments using a heat transfer press. With excellent opacity and elasticity, this range of materials are ideal for sports and leisure wear decoration.

The vinyl can be machine washed at up to 60 degrees Celsius and can also be safely dry cleaned.

Whilst the plotter can only cut one colour of vinyl at a time, more than one colour can be used in the design simply by cutting multiple parts of the image at different times using alternate vinyl.

In addition to vinyl, various colours of premium flock are available and this super soft touch material is perfect for sports and leisure wear decoration. The flock is machine washable up to 60 degrees Celsius and suitable for dry cleaning.

A great choice for all industries, general purpose , sports, industrial- if you want flock or special effects, there's something for everyone. And because we have NO minimum order for heat transfers and vinyl (subject to your artwork) along with NO set up fee, it is the perfect choice for start up businesses.

Please note that we do not offer a vinyl cutting service. We only apply vinyl directly to garments and are unable to ship pre cut vinyl designs on their own.
